J.
Stephen Funk has practiced law for over 40 years and been on the
Eastside since 1973. He has devoted his career to representing people
injured by the fault of others. He is especially interested in seeking remedies
against insurance companies who cheat their customers. It's his goal to see justice and
fairness for his clients.
A Seattle native, Mr. Funk graduated from the University of Washington Law School in 1963 and has practiced in the Greater Seattle Area for his entire career and been a lifelong Pacific Northwest resident.
Mr. Funk joined the King County Prosecuting Attorney's office after graduating law school. He worked as a Deputy Prosecuting Attorney before entering private practice. For two years, Mr. Funk represented county agencies and school districts in personal injury cases. In 1973 Mr. Funk opened his own law office. He is a former president of the Seattle Junior Chamber of Commerce and a former Chairman of the Bellevue Planning Commission. For over ten years he acted as head of the King County Bar Association's free legal clinic, and spent many evenings devoted to providing free legal advice for those in need.
